And here it is, the most recent tribal styled photoshoot. I’m super excited to blog about it, because it was something that challenged me in many ways. Sometimes it scares me to go outside of my comfort zone and this styled shoot was definitely something I wasn’t comfortable with. I read a quote once: “The only difference between fear & excitement is your attitude about it”. So even if I’m blocked by the fear of not creating something good enough, I know I just have to get excited about it, and it will change the outcome no matter what. All of the sudden I become good enough. So, the idea of a tribal shoot came from my talented makeup artist, Noell with Bella Ti Artistry. After putting another project aside, she suggested a tribal styled shoot. And so the planning began!
We’d browsed Pinterest for makeup & styling ideas… she actually practiced the looks on herself. We decided to go with two women and a man for this shoot, which meant one thing – a lot of preparations. We gathered some items for outfits, and discussed some designs; we played around with some ideas, and ultimately the night before the shoot, I finally came up with three designs. If creating outfits wasn’t enough, I had to think of group & individual poses for all. Since there wasn’t much time left to explore posing options, I had to go with the flow.
Here are a few photographs from this shoot. Enjoy! :)
