Cynthia is a mother, a grandmother, a cancer survivor and a fighter. We met over coffee and spent the time chatting without noticing how quickly the time passed. She told me stories about her beautiful daughters and her own challenges in life. I learned about her strength and her caring heart.
Cynthia is one of these gorgeous and incredibly kind women, who shy from the camera. As she told me later, she almost cancelled her photoshoot (after already having rescheduled once before). On one hand, she wanted to be photographed, on the other, she resented it so much. Yet, she came, and I'm so proud of her.
I hear this story so often... we, women, are so hard on ourselves... "I'm not photogenic", "I have to lose some weight", "I don't like being in front of the camera", "I don't need to be in pictures"...
Give yourself a chance to feel beautiful and confident with who you are. It is not your job to be photogenic, it is my job to capture the best of you. Don't wait to lose weight... capture this stage of your life and share it with your mother, daughter, sister or best friend... catch those moments before they pass, they are not coming back. We are not getting any younger, we are not going back to the weight we've once had... so take this moment and live your life now. Exist in photographs for your children, your loved ones... and create legacy portraits to last lifetime.
